![]() ![]() They are just blowing their money on this CD-protection crap that's not doing anything cept give people headaches. So even if some miracle came around that could stop pirates, publishers wouldn't be gaining anything. The pirates just get cracks and continue like usual.Īnother thing, if somebody is trying to get a game illegally, it's because they can't afford to buy it (or have no interest in spending money on it). Funny, cuz all this effort is beeing put into stopping pirates, yet the only people it's stopping is legit players who don't want to deal with all that crap. The days haven't changed much from then, only difference now is you need to get a cracked exe for the game that bypasses CD protection instead of a serial number. Gameplay wise its definitely more on the RPG side than the RTS side which is a slight bummer for me since I like the rts aspects, and exploring every nook and cranny of all the maps is painfully slow, but the RPG aspects are still very well done, and seeing little blood grow kinda organically is a very nice change from any other rpg i've seen. What happend to the days were games were protected by a serial that could be found everywhere on then internet. Things do change slightly from spellforce 3 over to soul harvest and fallen god control wise but not significantly. So far in fallen god though I think i've only recognized 1 and it wasn't important if i did or not. Spellforce 1 and spellforce 2 come afterwards and you'll see characters in spellforce 1 that you met in spellforce 3. They default to the f1-12 keys but those are a lot farther from the homekeys on a keyboard and f5 is always the quicksave button in like every game ever, so having to do ctrl f5 or just unbinding that button on the hotbar is cumbersome.Īs for the story though Spellforce 3 is the beginning of it with soul harvest and fallen god coming after chronologically. Setting keybinds is a bit of a pain and most keys can't be used for more than 1 thing where it'd be nice to set my hotbar to cast from maybe1 or q or something, but Q is a building hotkey and 1 is used for control groups. ![]() Getting into the spellforce series was a bit odd for me personally, the control scheme was very different than I was used to. ![]()
